xena by computer fine arts
about the artist

xena is a 58 seconds / looping quicktime movie that evokes the absurd of advertisement for cigarettes smoking. The movie is composed of 2 quicktime movies of different origin and timezone - a commercial advertisement from the 50ies / and a contemporary scene from the TV series xena.

computer fine arts' xena is a video online installation showing a refined artistic approach to experimental video / online art performance. The combination / juxtaposition of very different material definitely creates absurdity. Such absurdity in visual speech the artist Doron Golan efficiently uses for his critical questionning of social developments.
