Born in 1969 in Instanbul, Genco Gulan received his Master of Arts in Media Studies at the New School University - NYC in 2000 / his B.A. in Political Science & International Relations & the Minor Certificate in Fine Arts at the Bogazici University - Istanbul in 1991.

The artist received such grants as the Media Scholarship Award of the New School University - NYC in 1999 / the BP Young Artists Award in 1993. Genco Gulan has been exhibiting since 1990 and pieces of the artist have been included in the collections of British Petroleum / NY Arts Magazine / Raum fuer Kunst Graz / Mc Cann Advertising / .
