Identity of Colour is a Flash movie based on a poem of the author having the same title. For Agricola de Cologne his poem seems to express as much the kind of freedom color can generate as the defined identity each single shade of color does have. Maybe for this reason he gave to the poem a second title - [Freedom of Color] - and to the Flash movie a subtitle - Identity of Colour [Divisionistic Approach].

Agricola de Cologne's inter - relating / inter - active words and graphics create a world of vivid and joyful creativity. The artist plays with linear / quadratic elements and their relation to written and / or spoken content. Like a pointillist, he produces luminosity by using - even if not in points or dots but - squares of unmixed color, which are blended by the eye.

Identity of Colour belongs to the Moving Picture Collection and has been produced in several versions - as a Flash animation piece for online / offline experience / as a cd-rom / and as a dvd application.
