the title of the online exhibition  refers as muchto the capability of new media forming a line - a connection - between different means of production / forms of expression / ends of communication / & their interactive features / as to the meaning of the line itself / as a graphic element / a line / a row / a repetition / a series / an underlining / an enclosing / or an opening element of form.

alexandra reill. The quality of the pieces submitted as well as the different approaches to production & content have made the featuring of three works only
nearly impossible.

therefore kanonmedia.com would like to emphasize that the way of presentation choosen is not meant to be a judgement or ranking. The majority of submissions show prior quality / are internationally
recognized pieces / could have been ranked no 01.

the way of presentation decided for has been based on the following aspects of
curating questionning:

- Is there a relation of the piece to the theme of <<< new media line >>> & what relation would this be ?

- Does the interpretation of 'line' as an interactive or other new media connection / relation / communication serve the content transported or does interactivity apply for its own sake ?

- How contemporary / time - relevant / innovative is the content transmitted ?

- What kind of technical complexity does the piece implicate ?

- How elaborate is the project ?

- How refined is the visual / aesthetic quality of the piece ?

- How profiled is the project as a whole / considering all aspects described ?
