| patrick anthony d. caballa on anger without fear: in connection with the latest situations between the two countries Iraq and u.s., the artwork embodies the point of view and sentiment of the artist towards it. the flies and the barbwire are the two dominant elements in the work. the flies symbolize the u.s. army while the barbwire symbolizes the country, in this case the iraq. just like the u.s. army, flies have colonies. they fly to objects detecting them to be beneficial to them. the barbwire represents the country, iraq as mentioned earlier mainly because of its being untouchable and dangerous. flies can land on barbwire without getting harmed. in my point of view, the u.s. is just like it, it is the country that headed to fight against iraq amongst other countries. iraq has been compared to the barbwire for its being dangerous, causing damage and harm to those around it.
